Memorial Day

May 31st, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

We had a great Memorial Day.  We started it off with a little walk.

The trail ended at a lake!  I had never been in one before.

I really wanted to get down so Mama let me sit.  I started out with my feet in the water.

But I crawled in a little deeper.  I liked to look for little rocks to put in my mouth.

I got all wet and Mama had to carry me to the car without my clothes on.

Gray rode on Uncle John’s shoulders.

After nap time I went and hung out at the pool with Xandy, Gray, and Heather.

Then it was time for dinner.  I had black beans of course and everyone else had delicious fajitas made by cousin Elizabeth.  She cooked for a lot of people.

My second Memorial Day was a lot more fun than my first one!  Thanks to Elizabeth for the meal!

Marathons and Pig Roasts

May 30th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

Today was the Memorial Day Marathon here in Stockbridge.  I stayed with Aunt Chris and Elizabeth while everyone headed out to run the race.

Aunt Heather and Mama ran the 5k, Uncle John ran the 10k, and Daddy ran the half marathon!

Aunt Chris and Elizabeth took good care of me.  Thank you!

After Mama finished the 5k she came home to get me and we went to wait at the finish line for Daddy!  I was clapping and hollering for all the runners.

I even stood at the fence myself waiting for Daddy to cross the finish line.

After all the racing excitement, it was time for me to take a nap before the pig roast.

There is the pig roasting!  We have lots of other pictures but they made Mama want to throw up.  If you want to see them, you’ll have to email Daddy.

My Canadian family held me so Mama could eat.

Then we checked out the band before heading to SoCo Creamery for some delicious ice cream.

Gray rode home with us and we rested on the grass and waited for everyone else to arrive.

That was my wonderful day!  It was a fun one.

Happy Birthday To Me! Again!

May 29th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

Look who came to visit!  It’s Mama’s cousin, Elizabeth (does that make her my cousin too?).

My Great Auntie Chris came as well!

Of course she was looking at me the whole time as I lounged on her so Mama didn’t get any pictures of her face!  She looks just like Nanny though.

Aunt Heather prepared a birthday party for me!  While she made the cupcakes, it was Xandy’s duty to keep me from leaving the kitchen.  I keep trying to get to the stairs and it is driving Mama bananas.

Xandy wasn’t so good at keeping me in the kitchen, as you can see.  We decided to go outside instead.

It was another beautiful day here in Stockbridge.

The table looked beautiful!

So did the cupcakes.  Mama wished she took a better picture of them.  They were awesome.

This was one of the presents I got!  My new dresses are awesome.

After presents I chowed down on a little cupcake.  DELICIOUS!

Everything was so delicious, the company was wonderful, and it was a beautiful day.  Just like every day so far…

Happy Thursday!

May 28th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

We had such a nice day today.  How fortunate we are to be able to spend some time here with the Veagues!

After I finally took a nap, I went inside to play with Gray.

He is beyond sweet.

After a while, Aunt Heather came home.

She gave me a snuggle.

Xandy was due home any moment so we went to wait for her at the bus stop.  Gray came running after us!

He wanted a hug from his mom.

Xandy got off the bus and we went back to the house.

I wanted to crawl around outside while Aunt Heather fixed us our “leftover smorgasbord”.  That was her favorite saying of the night!

Could it get any more beautiful?  What a day!

So many lovely flowers are blooming!  I wish I could stay long enough to see what other ones will be popping up!

As you can see, I am no longer afraid of the grass.

There are a lot of pictures today.

Gray finally decided to join us!  I love these afternoons playing with Gray and Dudley.

Then I had to leave for my bath.  Bye Gray!

(Gray walked up to Mama and said “I love you, Aunt Annie”.  She just about died.  Such a sweet boy!)

I played with the xylophone a bit before my bath.  I really love making noise on this thing!

Thanks for reading.  I know this was a long one!

Pizza and Television

May 27th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

Hello everybody.  Yesterday we went out for pizza.

Daddy carried me to the car and we all headed out to the restaurant.

I was already tired on our way there. Look at my sleepy face!

Uncle John and Cousin Gray showed us to the pizza place.

Heather and Xandy were already inside waiting for us.

I sat next to Xandy.  Daddy was on the other side.

Xandy had gotten a new hair cut.  Isn’t she just adorable?

Mama loves catching these moments with Uncle John and Gray.  Gotcha!

Gray got a little grabby.  I was too grouchy to let him!

I started losing my patience toward the end of dinner but I still had a good time.

Today was kind of crazy though.  Long story short, Mama picked Gray up from school today and were were all playing outside with Dudley.  Dudley’s collar wasn’t working so he escaped to a neighbors house and Mama thought she was lost!  Was was a little frantic until Paula (Gray’s teacher) brought Dudley back safe and sound.  Mama had enough of being outside and brought Dudley inside the barn with us to watch some Sesame Street.

and that’s what happened today!

I’m having tons of fun everyday while visiting the Veagues.

I hung out with my Aunt Heather.

I also watched my cousins play.

Uncle John and Gray worked in the garden.

Of course I watched Dudley run around!  I LOVE that doggie!

Aunt Heather likes to clean.  I guess she could see us running around from the kitchen window.  I know my Mama would much rather play than clean.  That’s why all the pots and pans in our kitchen are always dirty.

Gray and Xandy were really good at sharing the swing.  Aren’t they adorable?!

Here are Aunt Heather and Uncle John!  They are so nice for letting our crazy family stay here!

Mama loves catching these little moments!

Mama was bummed that all her dance party pictures came out so blurry!  It was fun though!

Another Evening With the Veagues

May 23rd, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

We had another nice dinner outside this evening.

Here, we eat ice cream all the time!  I had my first ice cream in a cone today!  Aunt Heather gave it to me.  Yummy.

My cousin Xandy is a lot of fun!

I love it here!

We Made It!

May 22nd, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

Hello all!

We made it all the way to Aunt Heather and Uncle John’s!  It is so beautiful.

So far they have made dinner for us twice, and we’ve only been here two days.  It has been very delicious.

I really love corn!  I had never had it on the cob before.

After dinner I got to watch Gray run around.  I will be able to do that someday!

That game looked like so much fun.  Maybe next time I visit, I’ll be big enough to play.  Get ready Uncle John!

Isn’t Dudley cute?

More fun to come.  Hopefully we can get some good pictures of cousin Xandy and Aunt Heather for next time.

What a Beautiful Day

May 18th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

Today, the sun was out and there was a slight cool breeze.  It was the perfect day to spend outside.  In the morning, Mama took a 3 1/2 mile run and I went along for the ride.  In the afternoon, we went to the park.

I was very happy we remembered the blanket because I wanted nothing to do with the grass.  I didn’t used to have a problem with it!

Last October I wanted to eat it!!

Oh well.  Moving on.  It was such a lovely day and there were many things to look at.

Here is me pointing at the “cats” (dogs) playing fetch with the “ba bas” (babies, which were actually school age children.).  I just love the outdoors.

Hope you all had a great day of sunshine as well!

Reflections of a Mother

May 17th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

I’ve been looking back at all these beautiful pictures of my sweet little Pearl while she slumbers peacefully in her crib today.  I have thousands of pictures, and I just think it’s a pity that I haven’t been able to share all of the sweet moments I have with my wonderful baby.  I decided it was time to share a few memorable photos of my wonderful daughter’s angelic face.

HAHAHA!  Suckers! I’ve been looking back at the totally insane pictures I’ve taken of my little pumpkin, and let me tell you, some of them are downright scary.  She must think she is our guard dog!

She can go from this:

To this:

Ahhh!  Watch out!

Wow.  Isn’t she a sweetheart?  I just want to give this little peanut a snuggle! I hope she doesn’t bite me.

I have no idea where she got that face, but it cracks me up every time.

But this face.  This sweet face makes me melt.  My baby.

Whoa…what’s going on here?

You get the idea.  My little girl is a riot.

P.S.  Don’t mess with me.  My daughter will GET YOU!
